LLM stock analysis: does AI sentiment predict prices?
Status: core — live in production. Quantustik runs two real, narrow LLM features on top of its quantitative model: an AI-written per-ticker summary that restates the quantum forecast, ML signal, fundamentals, and sentiment numbers already computed for that ticker in plain English (it is explicitly instructed to never issue a buy/sell/hold recommendation), and a separate LLM pass that classifies recent news headlines into a sentiment score used as one input among many in the underlying model.
What it is NOT
Neither LLM feature is a trading signal and neither has its own calibration or backtest, unlike the quantum forecast (see live calibration figures). The AI Summary can only restate numbers already produced elsewhere — it has no independent view of where a price is headed. A confident-sounding summary or a bullish sentiment score is not evidence the price will move that way. Full methodology: capabilities & methodology.
