What is conviction tier in a stock signal?

A 0-10 composite of quantum-model and technical-analysis signals, bucketed into Strong (8+), Moderate (5+) or Weak.

Why can't technical analysis alone produce a high tier?

The composite blends eight weighted components — quantum direction (28%), quantum tail-risk (14%), quantum reliability (14%), trend/MA, MACD, RSI, 52-week position and path momentum (9% each roughly) — but is gated whenever quantum data is available: a weak quantum thesis caps the score at 3 no matter how bullish the chart looks. (With no quantum data at all, the gate is skipped and technicals alone top out around 5.5.)

Live example: AAPL's current 3-month conviction score is 5.0/10 (Moderate tier). See the full AAPL forecast for the component breakdown.

How conviction tier is used to filter results

Exposed as a minimum-tier filter across scan and ticker list views: setting it to "Strong" only shows setups where every component is aligned at a high level, trading candidate count for higher average setup quality.

Frequently asked questions

What score counts as a Strong conviction tier?

8 or higher out of 10. Moderate is 5 or higher; below 5 is Weak.

Can a great chart get a Strong tier if the quantum forecast disagrees?

No — a zero quantum direction or tail-risk component caps the total at 3.

How is conviction tier different from market conditions?

Conviction tier scores a single ticker's setup quality; market conditions score the overall market. Both apply together.
